Michael Reid Smith
President
Mike Smith (UC Berkeley ‘66, Boalt Law ‘66) served in the Peace Corps (Nigeria), as Assistant General Counsel with the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, and as chief legal counsel for the Berkeley campus. Mike is a past member of the Board of Trustees of the Wright Institute, the Board of Directors of the ACLU Berkeley Chapter, the Berkeley City Personnel Board, the Board of Directors of the Academy of Art University, and the Board of Trustees of the UC Berkeley Art Museum. He presently serves on the boards of the Leakey Foundation and Studio for the Early American Musical.
Joan Goldsmith
Joan Goldsmith, Doctor of Humane Letters, is an educator, coach, mediator and consultant in leadership, organizational change, team building and conflict resolution. She is currently a student of piano. She founded Cambridge College and has been a faculty member at Harvard University, UCLA, and Antioch University. She is currently an adjunct faculty member at Southern Methodist University and Pepperdine University Law School. She is founder of “Women Leaders: Creating Ourselves at the Crossroads,” and co-author with Warren Bennis of Learning to Lead: A Workbook On Becoming a Leader (4th Edition). She co-authored with Kenneth Cloke: Resolving Conflicts at Work: 10 Strategies for Everyone on the Job (3rd Edition); The End of Management and the Rise of Organizational Effectiveness; The Art of Waking People Up; as well as, Resolving Personal and Organizational Conflict: Stories of Transformation and Forgiveness.
Jason Pyszkowski
Jason Pyszkowski is a freelance violist and musical administrator residing in the San Francisco Bay Area. A graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Baldwin Wallace University, his main passions are historically informed performance and education through ensemble training. He is currently Associate Director of the Youth Orchestra program with the San Francisco Symphony and performs regularly with the American Bach Soloists, Theatre Comique, and Sinfonia Spirituoso. Jason is also a contractor and enjoys putting together comprehensive events that highlight the context for individual works, composers, styles, and periods. Outside of music, he enjoys cycling, painting, and leading classes in the art of sausage making.
